NEW & NOTEWORTHY

Spring Softball

Softball practice has started on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:30 after school for grades 4 -7! There will be a late bus after practice. Last practice will be June 23rd. Students who are interested must speak to our PE teacher Ms. Ruoff. Permission forms must be signed.

Cops for Cancer - Tour de Coast 🚴

We are excited to be hosting the Cops for Cancer Tour de Coast! They will be stopping by the school on Friday around 12:52pm.

Tour de Coast raised over $670,000 in 2025, contributing to a total of $2.2 million raised by the Cops for Cancer program nationally. These funds continue to position Canadian Cancer Society as the largest national funder of pediatric cancer research in Canada. In addition, they fund an incredible support program called Camp Goodtimes, a medically supported oncology camp for children and their families facing a cancer diagnosis.

In 2026, Tour de Coast riders aim to raise $650,000, and we invite you to help us reach this important goal!

Here is a great video highlighting the profound difference Cops for Cancer makes for the children and families that attend Camp Goodtimes.

PAC Annual General Meeting 📝

The PAC AGM is coming up on Tuesday, June 9th at 6:30pm via Zoom. Mark it in your calendars – we’d love to see you there!

This is an important opportunity for parents and guardians to help support and shape our school community. PAC funding and events are only possible through parent involvement, volunteering, and participation. Whether you can volunteer regularly or simply attend meetings and contribute your voice, every little bit of involvement makes a big difference!

FUNDRAISERS

Signal Hill Hoodie sales have closed! Thank you to everyone who purchased a hoodie and helped to support our grade 7s with their year-end events and camping trip. We will notify you when the hoodies are ready for pick-up at the school.

Sticky Labels

Do you need sticky labels with your kid's name for their
coat/lunch/shoes/bike/helmet/favourite pens?

The school has an account with Lovable Labels. Order here and the school PAC gets a cut! If items in the Lost and Found are labelled, they will make their way back to you. Top tip: get your phone number on the labels and it works for the whole family.

REMINDERS

WALK YOUR WHEELS 🚲

Just a reminder that everyone must walk bikes, scooters, skateboards, and other wheels on school property! Busy areas like parking lots, sidewalks, and around the school building can be crowded with cars, families, and students, making riding unsafe. Walking wheels helps prevent accidents and keeps arrival and dismissal safe for everyone. Thank you for understanding.

Field Trip Payments

Please note that we do not keep a cash float in the office. Field trips should be paid for online, but if you are unable to do so, then we can only accept exact change. Please give your cash to the teacher, as they will collect and organize all of the cash per class prior to submitting it to the office.

Here is the link to the website for online payments: https://sd48seatosky.schoolcashonline.com/
You must register your child if you have not already done so (you only need to register them once).

This link can always be found on our school and district websites (including on this announcements page).

Late-Sign In Policy

Please remind students who arrive after the 8:43 morning bell to sign in late before going to class. Alternatively, you may sign them in yourself and send them straight to class. Either way, it must be in-person in the office using the sign-in binder located on the counter.

This is so we have a record that students have arrived safely in the building and to mark them as present on the attendance.

Thank you for your cooperation!

School Bus Information 🚌

Just a kindly reminder the bus department manages registration, delays, cancellations, and communication regarding the school bus. We try our very best to relay news, info, and updates as soon as we receive it!

If you are ever unable to get an answer regarding school busses from the school office, you can try calling the Pemberton Bus Garage directly from 8:30 - 4:00 at 604-894-6434.
