Upcoming Registration & French Immersion

We are entering the early planning stages for the 2026–2027 school year. As part of this process, we would like to share some important information regarding upcoming registrations.

 

Registration for Kindergarten and Late French Immersion will open on Tuesday, January 20th.

 

For families interested in learning more about our Late French Immersion program, we will be hosting a Parent Information Meeting:

 

  • Date: Tuesday, January 13th
  • Time: 6:00 pm
  • Location: School Library

 

All families of students who will be in Grade 5 - 7 next year are welcome to attend. Registration for Late French Immersion will be open to all Grade 5 - 7 students.

 

This year, we had sufficient enrolment to run a Grade 6/7 Late French Immersion program. Please note that students who registered for the Grade 5 program last year will remain on the waitlist for next year’s program.

 

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Signal Hill’s Basketball Season will be kicking off this week. Please see below for the schedule. All practices run from 3:00 pm-4:45pm. Please note the late bus services Mt. Currie and D’Arcy only, and leaves Signal Hill at 5:00pm. Permission forms can be picked up from the office and must be returned before your child's first practice.

School Meal Pilot Update (Tuesdays and Thursday Lunch)

 

Pay-what-you-can School Lunch Pilot Sign Up Jan 13 – March 13

Deadline is Thursdays at 9am to receive lunch for the following week.

 

The school lunch pilot is testing a pay-what-you-can model to support equitable access and program sustainability. This means families pay what they can afford, if they are able to pay for the lunch program.

 

Lunch will be provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The first lunch will be provided on January 13th. When you sign up, a “pay what you can” fee will be added to your student’s School Cash OnlineThe suggested amount is $100 for January 13 – March 12th, approximately $6 per lunchAny amount you can contribute is appreciated, and payment is not required to join the lunch program.

The school has an account with Lovable Labels. Order here and the school PAC gets a cut! If items in the Lost and Found are labelled, they will make their way back to you. Top tip: get your phone number on the labels and it works for the whole family.
